WOMEN IN TECH

About the Program

The IT industry’s rapid evolution has significantly increased the demand for industry-ready professionals, making the transition from academia to the workplace challenging for many final-year engineering students. This challenge is often more pronounced for women, who continue to be underrepresented in the technology workforce due to systemic barriers, limited industry exposure, and fewer early-career opportunities despite strong academic potential.

The “Women in Tech” program by ICT Academy, in association with SAP Labs India, is designed to address this gap by specifically supporting final-year engineering women students. The program equips participants with industry-aligned technical skills and relevant certifications, while building confidence and career readiness. By focusing on women, the initiative aims to promote greater gender diversity in the IT sector and enable young women engineers to transition seamlessly into meaningful and sustainable careers in technology.
