About the Program

ICT Academy, with the support of Infosys Foundation, is implementing Infosys Springboard Livelihood, a nationwide skilling and employability initiative designed to equip youth with industry-relevant technical and professional skills. The program will be delivered through engineering, arts and science, diploma, and ITI institutions across India, with a special focus on underserved communities.

Participants will benefit from industry-aligned technical training, employability skill development, career guidance, industry exposure, and placement support. Covering both technology and non-technology domains, the program aims to prepare learners for emerging job opportunities and evolving industry needs. Through a flexible and inclusive learning model, Infosys Springboard Livelihood seeks to enhance employability, strengthen livelihoods, and contribute to building a future-ready workforce.

Program Objectives

Train students across India with industry-relevant technical and soft skills, including ITI students, following the "Anywhere, Anybody, Any Job" philosophy.

Enhance job readiness through inclusive and flexible skilling interventions tailored to diverse learner segments.

Deliver the program across engineering, arts & science, diploma, and ITI institutions, with a focus on rural and aspirational districts.

Provide specialised training pathways covering IT, Non-IT industry domains, foundational digital skills, and soft skills.

Achieve strong employment outcomes through structured placement support with a focus on STEM roles.

Activities of Infosys Springboard Livelihood

Mobilise and enrol eligible students from engineering, arts and science, diploma, and ITI institutions across India.

Deliver structured training programs comprising technical modules and employability-focused soft skills training.

Conduct instructor-led sessions, hands-on practical exercises, and projects.

Conduct assessments and provide certifications to validate learner competencies and enhance employability.

Engage Infosys volunteers and industry experts in mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Conduct job readiness sessions covering resume building, aptitude preparation, interview techniques, and professional etiquette.

Facilitate placement drives for certified students.

Courses

Students will be trained in one of the selected technical or domain-specific courses along with mandatory soft skills training.

The program is open to students pursuing higher education across India, particularly from institutions located in aspirational districts and underserved regions.

About ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students, thereby exercises on developing the next generation of teachers and industry-ready students.

ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment, especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the country. The organisation was formed with representations from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading companies in the ICT industry and the National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.

With the training of teachers and students as the primary objective, ICT Academy has been working through a seven-pillar program in the areas of Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications.

In the last 17 years, ICT Academy has strived in every aspect to provide a holistic service to every stakeholder of the education ecosystem in developing the next generation of talent pool in India to make them industry-ready employees, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
