India Design Week (IDW) 2021 is the largest Design Event for budding engineers who will come together to learn and design for various problem statement.
The 2nd Edition of IDW 2021 event aims to foster young talent minds in technical design and expose them to all aspects of product design process using the Autodesk FUSION 360 software. IDW 2021 is open for ICT Academy member Engineering Colleges & Universities of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana State. This event is powered by Autodesk and organized by ICT Academy.
ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit autonomous organization, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavour's developing the next generation talent pool. ICT Academy in partnership with Autodesk has been developing teachers and students on Design thinking in the areas of Manufacturing, Automobile, Construction and architecture.

Design plays an important role, even midst disruptive changes brought by technology, design will continue to be a fundamental human endeavour, fuelled by insights, ideas, passion and talents of people in the pursuit of progress. Designing requires ingredients like innovation, insights and ideas that will provide scalable solutions and thereby bring transformation to every field of our Nation. India Design Week 2020 will bring students together to share their ideas for better Future with their products developed using Autodesk Fusion 360.
Note: Specific design theme will be revealed on the day of the event.
  Institute must register in the official IDW 2021 website to show their interest in conducting the Design Event
  Interested institution should have the Domain ID for their Students to participate in IDW 2021
  The registered Institute should Nominate a faculty guide who will mentor the Students until the finals of IDW 2021
  After the institution is accepted for IDW 2021, Students can start registering
  Students willing to participate in IDW 2021 should have a domain id of their Institution
  Students can start registering for the event by selecting the register now option against their respective college
  Students has to ensure that they meet the required Hardware and Software for this virtual Event
  Students can be from 2nd year, Pre final year & Final Year from Mechanical stream includes Automobile, Aeronautical, Agriculture, CAD/CAM, and Bio-Medical who are interested in Product Design are welcomed to register for IDW 2021
  Registered students will learn Autodesk Fusion 360 through Virtual Workshops (2 or 3 sessions will be conducted)
  Virtual Workshops is conducted by ICT Academy Certified Experts
  Activities & Assignments will be provided after each session which students need to complete to gain certificate for their career
  Design Now is a 1-Day exclusive Inter College competition for the registered Institutions
  Students will present their final design, which will be evaluated by the Jury panel based on Creativity, Design Specifications, Manufacturing Feasibility, Material Selection & Presentation
  Top 3 teams selected by the jury panel are eligible to compete in the IDW 2021
  A National Level event will be conducted in the month of Feb 2021 (depending upon the situation in Feb 2021 event will be done either Virtual or Physical)
  Teams will present their final design based on the provided Theme
  Top 3 teams selected by jury panel will be recognized with Prizes
On considering the Present Pandemic situation, ICT Academy will host the Virtual Workshop on Fusion 360 where students from their places will connect to the Experts through a Video conferencing tool to learn and explore about Product Design Engineering. So we expect the student should meet the following Pre-requisite.
