About the Program

To empower students and unemployed youths with industry-relevant skills, ICT Academy, in association with HP, presents the HP Employability Skills Training Program & Establishing 3 CoEs in the city of Madurai.

The program is designed to equip students from Arts and Science institutions and unemployed youths with essential skills in Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Retail, and Information Technology (IT) by establishing Centres of Excellence (CoEs). By integrating industry-endorsed curricula and practical training, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring trainees are job-ready for evolving industry demands.

Program Objectives

Train 1000 students and unemployed youth in BFSI, Retail, and IT skills.

Establish two Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in colleges in Madurai and one CoE at Madurai Corporation Arignar Anna Maligai.

Provide trainees with hardware and training support to enhance their learning experience.

Centers of Excellence (CoEs)

The program includes the establishment of three CoEs, ensuring state-of-the-art learning environments equipped with modern infrastructure:

PCs deployment across 2 college labs and one external CoE
Installation of projectors, furniture, and essential accessories.
Assigned mentors and trainers for continuous learning support.
Regular data tracking, assessment, and certification processes.
Accessibility for passed-out graduates who are unemployed, with flexible scheduling.

Training Approach

Instructor-led training (ILT)
Engaging in lectures and hands-on sessions
Case studies and practice-based learning
Post-training assessments for skill validation

Faculty Training

To ensure sustainability and scalability, the program will train two faculty members in each institution with 40 hours of advanced technology skills to mentor students.

Training Duration

Student Training: 100 hours (80 hours of core skills + 20 hours of soft skills)
College CoEs Faculty Mentor Training: 40 hours

Selection Criteria

Final Year Students of Arts and Science institutions

Preference for underprivileged students

Women Students

Students with a family income of less than INR 3.5 lakhs per annum

This program is a fully sponsored program, implemented by ICT Academy under the CSR initiative of HP. Arts and Science colleges located in Madurai can partner with us for this initiative.

About ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries.
