Entrepreneurship has emerged as a crucial driver of economic growth, innovation, and social progress in India. As the country nurtures its vision of becoming a global powerhouse, it is imperative to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of its youth, especially those studying in higher education institutions.

Recognising this need, ICT Academy in association with Cyient Foundation, launches the Entrepreneurship Development Program. This initiative aims to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among students by equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and industry mentorship. Through structured training and hands-on guidance, this initiative seeks to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to convert ideas into impactful ventures, thus contributing to the nation’s startup ecosystem.

Activities of the Program

Stage 1

Awareness Seminar:

8-hour awareness program for 2,000 aspiring entrepreneurs across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

Focus on sparking interest and highlighting the value of entrepreneurship.

Stage 2

Entrepreneurship Training:

Training 1,000 selected beneficiaries

40-hour ILT program covering entrepreneurship basics to business plan creation

100 beneficiaries will be selected for the next stage

Stage 3

Mentoring:

Mentoring for the selected 100 beneficiaries by industry mentors

covering topics like loans and government schemes in entrepreneurship

Facilitation of funding opportunities through ICT Academy partners

Facilitate creation of 100 entrepreneurial ventures

Creating employment opportunities in the region

Selection Criteria

This program invites student applicants who show entrepreneurial potential and a genuine interest in building ideas that create impact. We encourage individuals from all walks of life regardless of academic path, personal circumstances, or socioeconomic background to step forward with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to learn.

We seek applicants who:

Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset

Bring innovation and creativity to the way they think or work

Show readiness to grow through mentorship, learning experiences, and collaboration

Demonstrate an intent to build solutions that benefit society, communities, or underserved groups

Entrepreneurship Development Program

Expression of interest for institutional partnership

Engineering, Arts and Science institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can partner in this initiative. This initiative will benefit aspirants deprived of opportunities due to financial constraints and a lack of awareness. About ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train higher education teachers and students, thereby exercising on developing the next-generation teachers and industry-ready students.

ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment, especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the country. The organisation was formed with representations from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading companies in the ICT industry and the National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.
