Employability Skill Training

About the Project

The Indian retail industry has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fast-paced industries due to the entry of several new players. It accounts for over 10 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and around 8 percent of employment. Further, it is projected that the Indian retail sector will generate 2.5 crore new jobs by 2030, with the market reaching up to $1.5 trillion. There emerges a greater need for collaboration among the stakeholders and policymakers, to ensure the availability of skilled resources and accelerate the sector’s growth in the years to come.
For this, ICT Academy, in association with Bajaj FinServ Limited, launches the Employability Skill Training Program for students of arts, science, and management institutions in Maharashtra. The project aims to train 4000 students in retail skills and soft skills. The training will enable students to acquire industry-relevant skills while pursuing higher education and become industry-ready.
