The spread of information and communication technologies in every industry is changing the skills needed by workers.
This shift in skills is creating more job options but also making it harder for disadvantaged groups. Nowadays, having basic
ICT skills is crucial for those starting their careers or looking for better jobs. Companies see a workforce with ICT skills as
an asset that boosts economic growth, enhances competitiveness, and increases business productivity.
To create an employable talent pool and generate more employment in India's tier 2, tier 3 and rural regions, ICT Academy,
in association with Mphasis, organises the Advanced IT Skill Training Program. This program aims to train underprivileged students
from engineering, arts, and science institutions in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on IT skills by establishing a Centre of Excellence. ICT
Academy will facilitate placements for the certified beneficiaries after the completion of the program, thereby creating more employment
for underprivileged students.
