India has the second-largest internet user base and has a large amount of sensitive data such as credit card numbers and bank details stored online on various connected devices. While digitalization is rapidly increasing, even more in the time of COVID-19, the vulnerability towards cyber threats is also rising. In addition, the world is moving towards a massive skill shortage in the cybersecurity industry.
To meet the rising skill shortage and create more cybersecurity awareness, CISCO has partnered with ICT Academy to create cybersecurity awareness and provide cybersecurity skills training to the students of higher education institutions. The program aims to benefit 20,200 students in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Assam.
To provide vocational training and facilitating placements to the students (Enrolled in CyberOps Associate program).
Students will first sign up themselves for the program, followed by an online Pre- assessment on the same page to better understand the requirements and completes Registration process and is enrolled in a program.
The undertaking of course and Completion of the entire program in Netacad Portal for Cyber Awareness and Cyber Smart programs. Vocational Training to be provided for Cyber workforce program.
Placement opportunity will be facilitated for all the two hundred students in Cyber workforce program by ICT Academy with course-oriented industry and companies.
